The Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has launched the Arkansas Literacy Tutoring Grant Program, providing families with up to $1,500 in vouchers for literacy support. Eligible K–3 students can use these for approved online reading tutoring services.
The Arkansas Department of Education administers the Literacy Tutoring Grant Program and has partnered with ClassWallet to manage funds distribution. Accordingly, the literacy tutoring grant deposited into a ClassWallet account allows families to pay for approved online tutoring services directly through the platform. Afterwards, ClassWallet will send you a welcome email once they process your registration and confirm your child’s eligibility. This email will include access instructions.
Parents of qualifying students should have received a letter from their child’s public or open-enrollment charter school. This informs them of their eligibility for the Arkansas Literacy Tutoring Grant. If you have questions about the letter or believe your child qualifies but did not receive one, you may also contact your school’s literacy coach. If your school does not have a literacy coach, you can email ade.tutoring@ade.arkansas.gov for assistance.
Complete the Literacy Tutoring Grant Program Registration Form available here. You will need the eligibility letter provided by your child’s school. If you have more than one qualifying child, then you must submit a separate form for each. After your registration is processed and eligibility confirmed, you will receive a Welcome Email from ClassWallet with instructions on how to access your child’s online tutoring account.
Once your registration is approved and you receive the Welcome Email from ClassWallet, you will need to log into your child’s ClassWallet account. From there, you will find Bilingual Bridges listed as an approved provider for online tutoring. Select our company’s name and submit a request for classes.
Your final step will be to complete an enrollment form directly through Bilingual Bridges. This will help us learn more about your child’s needs, learning goals, and schedule preferences. Our Curriculum & Instruction Specialist will contact you directly to introduce you to your child’s new online reading tutor!
