Arkansas Literacy Tutoring Grant
The Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has launched the Arkansas Literacy Tutoring Grant Program, providing eligible families with up to $1,500 in state-funded literacy tutoring. So K-3rd grade students may use these funds for approved online reading tutoring services, including Bilingual Bridges.

How Do I Apply for the Arkansas Literacy Tutoring Grant?
The state and your child’s school determine eligibility for the Arkansas Literacy Tutoring Grant. So families do not apply directly through Bilingual Bridges. Instead, the process begins through the school and state.
Step 1: Family Notification
First, if your child is eligible, you will receive an official notification from the school or the state with next steps. This notification confirms: your child's eligibility; access to the Arkansas Literacy Tutoring Grant; and instructions for setting up or accessing ClassWallet.
Step 2: Complete the Registration Form
Complete the Arkansas Literacy Tutoring Grant Program Registration Form, available here. You will need your child's eligibility letter to complete registration. Also, if you have more than one eligible child, you will need to submit a separate registration form for each child. Once your registration goes through and your eligibility clears, you will receive a welcome email from ClassWallet with instructions for accessing your child's grant account.
Step 3: Access Your ClassWallet Account
Once your child's eligibility clears, grant funds become available through ClassWallet, the state's payment platform. ClassWallet will then provide instructions on how to: access your account; view available grant funds; and select an approved tutoring provider. Next, select Bilingual Bridges and submit a request for classes.
Step 4: Enroll with Bilingual Bridges
Finally, once you've selected Bilingual Bridges in ClassWallet, complete our short enrollment form. This allows us to: match your child with a tutor, schedule tutoring sessions, and get started with instruction. Click “Sign Up Today” to complete enrollment!

Flexible Classes
Families can choose between 30-minute or 45-minute sessions based on their schedule and learning goals. For best results, we recommend consistent weekly tutoring sessions.

Who is eligible for the Arkansas Literacy Tutoring Grant?
The grant is available to K-3 students enrolled in Arkansas public schools or open-enrollment public charter schools who do not meet the state reading standard, are identified as at risk of reading difficulties through a state literacy screener, or were retained in third grade or received a good cause exemption for promotion to grade four.
How do I know if my child qualifies?
The state and your child’s school determine eligibility. Families do not apply directly. If your child qualifies, you will receive an official notification letter from your school or the state with next steps. If you believe your child qualifies but have not received a letter, then contact your school’s literacy coach or email ade.tutoring@ade.arkansas.gov.
How does the grant funding work?
The Arkansas Literacy Tutoring Grant provides up to $1,500 per eligible student. ClassWallet, the secure digital platform the Arkansas Department of Education uses, administers those funds. Once eligibility clears, your ClassWallet account receives the grant funds, which then cover approved tutoring providers including Bilingual Bridges directly.
